Challenges of synchronising LTE networks with an all packet backhaul

To cope with increasing user-demand for faster speeds and higher bandwidth, networks are migrating to an all-packet-based environment, which brings new Synchronisation technologies and requirements. In addition to this, the role out of advanced 4G applications such as LTE and Small Cells require high-accuracy Synchronisation performance in the network.

In this session Calnex provides an overview of the Sync-over-Packet technologies and introduces the latest performance requirements prescribed by the International Telecom Standards (ITU-T). Calnex will conclude with recommendations for testing and proving network synchronisation performance to the latest ITU-T principles.
