POVZETEK
Satelitska povezljivost IoT postaja vedno bolj priljubljena, saj omogoča veliko število primerov uporabe zunaj pokritosti mobilnih omrežij, ki pokrivajo le do 30 % sveta. Nedavna uvedba nezemeljskih omrežij 3GPP (NTN) v kombinaciji z znižanjem stroškov izstrelitev satelitov zdaj omogoča več podjetjem in tehnologijam, da ponujajo nove vrste povezljivosti. V tem predavanju si bomo ogledali rezultate praktičnih preizkusov satelitske IoT povezljivosti, razpravljali o oblikovalskih odločitvah pri ustvarjanju satelitsko povezanih IoT izdelkov in razpravljali o aplikacijah.

ABSTRACT
IoT satellite connectivity is gaining traction as it enables a large number of use-cases outside the coverage of mobile networks, which cover only up to 30% of the globe. The recent introduction of 3GPP Non-Terrestrial-Networks (NTN) combined with a decrease in cost of satellite launches is now enabling a set of companies and technologies to offer new types of connectivity. In this talk we will look at test results of practical tests of satellite IoT connectivity, discuss design choices when creating satellite connected IoT products and debate the applications.
