POVZETEK
FMCW radar je znan že skoraj stoletje oziroma izpred druge svetovne vojne. Deluje z manj kot tisočkrat nižjo vršno močjo in je bolj odporen na motnje od pulznega radarja ampak zahteva bolj komplicirano obdelavo sprejetih odmevov. Vremenski radar opazuje odboj od padavin. Nizka oddajna moč omogoča nižje motnje ostalim uporabnikom radijskega spektra s ceneno napravo. Nižje motnje in cenena naprava omogočata številne druge uporabe vremenskega radarja vključno z natančnim določanjem mesta in jakosti dodatnega slabljenja padavin v radijski zvezi.

ABSTRACT
FMCW radar has been known for almost a century, or since before World War II. It operates at less than a thousand times lower peak power and is more resistant to interference than pulse radar, but requires more complicated processing of the received echoes. Weather radar observes reflections from precipitation. The low transmit power allows for lower interference to other users of the radio spectrum with a low-cost device. The lower interference and low-cost device allow for many other uses of weather radar, including precise determination of the location and strength of additional precipitation attenuation in radio communications.
