POVZETEK
Učinkovita osvetlitev globoke paraboloidne zrcalne antene zahteva večstopenjsko optimizacijo za doseganje najvišjega razmerja dobitka proti šumni temperaturi (G/T). Predstavljena bo problematika take osvetlitve s poudarkom na osvetlitvi enozrcalnih anten, obstoječe rešitve in dosegljivi izkoristki osvetlitve takh zrcal. Predstavljeno bo tudi doktorsko delo v teku, ki se ukvarja z razvojem monopulznega vira za učinkovito osvetlitev globokega paraboličnega zrcala in dognanja ter rezultati dosedanjega dela.

ABSTRACT
An efficient illumination of a deep parabolic mirror antenna requires multi-level optimization to achieve the highest gain-to-noise-temperature (G/T) ratio. In the presentation the issues of such optimization are going to be discussed, focusing on a single-mirror reflector illumination, current solutions and achievable illumination efficiencies of such mirrors. An ongoing doctoral thesis, focusing on development of an efficient monopulse prime-focus feed, suitable for illuminating a deep parabolic antenna, is going to be presented including the intermediate findings.
