POVZETEK
Antene se klasično razvija s "cut and try" metodo, kar prinese dosti prototipiranja za izdelavo ene antene in še več za morebitno optimizacijo. Danes v industriji pri integriranih večpasovnih in po možnosti še dvopolarizacijskih antenah brez simuliranja praktično ne gre. Predavanje bo osvetlilo ponudbo na trgu računalniških orodij za načrtovanje ter optimizacijo anten na primeru izbiranja orodja za izdelavo magistrske naloge. Predstavljeno bo tudi trenutno stanje razvoja odprtokodnih različic orodij. Na koncu bo na kratko na primeru predstavljena uporaba takega orodja.

Modern Antenna Development Tools
Antennas are typically designed by using the "cut and try" method which demands a great amount of prototyping only to develop an antenna and even more to optimize it. Nowadays when integrated multi-band and even two-polarisation antennas are becoming more and more omnipresent, design through simulation is becoming the standard way for antenna development. This lecture will review computer antenna design and optimization tools that are available on the market through a tool selection process for doing a Master's thesis. Also the current state of the open-source tools will be presented. At the end such computer tool will be briefly presented in-action.
